Coulomb's Law Calculator
Calculate the electrostatic force between two charged particles using Coulomb's Law.
How to Use This Calculator
- Adjust the sliders for Charge 1 (q₁), Charge 2 (q₂), and Distance (r).
- The calculator will automatically compute the electrostatic force.
- The result is displayed in Newtons (N) using scientific notation.
- Click 'Reset' to return to the default values.
About Coulomb's Law
Coulomb's Law states that the magnitude of the electrostatic force between two point charges is directly proportional to the product of their charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
The formula is:
F = k * (|q₁ * q₂|) / r²
where k is Coulomb's constant (8.99 × 10⁹ N·m²/C²)
